Every one of these pages says where the other option is better. If we cannot be honest about that, the comparison is worthless to you.
Most agencies are not choosing between CV formatting tools. They are choosing between buying one and carrying on as they are. So the first three pages compare Dresscode with how the work gets done today, using the same maths as our ROI calculator.
The last three compare Dresscode with the enterprise platforms agencies most often ask us about. We have deliberately not written a page against every tool on the market. Some of them beat us on price and some on features, and a table that pretended otherwise would be the least useful thing on this site.
Figures below are per CV, using the default assumptions in our ROI calculator.
Fee-earners formatting their own CVs. The most common setup, and the most expensive one.
Cheaper per CV and more consistent, but everything queues behind one team.
Low on the invoice, high once you count rework and the overnight wait.
Pricing checked August 2026. Vendors change it. Check theirs before you decide.
The category leader, owned by The Access Group. A full presentation suite from £180 a month.
Enterprise platform, deep in Bullhorn, quote-only pricing.
The formatting module of DaXtra's parsing suite. Quote-only.
Dresscode is a CV formatting service for recruitment agencies. A consultant forwards a candidate CV to the agency's Dresscode address and it comes back about 60 seconds later rebuilt in the agency's exact house style, ready to send to the client. There is no app and no login.
Starter is £99 a month for 100 formatted CVs, Growth is £199 for 300 and Studio is £449 for 1,000. Every plan includes unlimited consultants and template builds.
Two things. It works entirely from email, so nobody logs into an app, and it rebuilds your existing Word template rather than asking you to adopt a template library. Original CVs are deleted after delivery.
It depends on what you need. If you want formatting only, with a published price and nothing to install, Dresscode is built for agencies of roughly 1 to 50 consultants. If you also want candidate microsites, engagement tracking and spec CVs, HireAra covers more ground. If you need deep multi-language parsing or configurable anonymisation, DaXtra Styler does that and Dresscode does not.
Attach any CV and email it to trial@cvdresscode.com. It comes back cleanly formatted in about a minute, then we delete it. No signup, no card, no call.
As a customer, every CV comes back in your agency's exact format and branding.
